CHATEAU DE LA RONGERE
Chateau de la Rongere is in the countryside in the north of the Pays de Loire near the borders of Brittany and Normandy. It is five minute drive from the village of La Croixille and fifteen minutes from the medieval town of Vitre in Brittany.
The Cider House is nestled in the grounds of the 11th Century Chateau. There are 23 acres of flower gardens, an orchard, woodlands, a stream, an organic vegetable garden and open fields.
The Cider House is a large country home with a relaxed elegant style, with large living areas and a private garden within the Chateau grounds.
The pool is 10m x 4m and is situated 100 metres from the house. An old stone wall and lockable gate surrounds the pool to ensure the safety of children. The pool is shared occasionally with the owners when they are in the Chateau.
Enjoying meals together is a wonderful part of a holiday at La Rongere. Breakfast in the large warm kitchen, lunch outside under the shade of one the trees, dinner inside beside the fire or outside enjoying the warm summer evenings.
There are many local markets and a supermarket nearby in Bourgneuf le Foret. Trains from Paris to Laval and Vitre and an airport is 45 mins away at Rennes or 2hrs to Nantes. Brittany Ferries to the Uk at St Malo and Caen.

The house has 4 double bedrooms and three bathrooms with an open dormitory style area with 5 single beds. (maximum of 14 people)

Large kitchen with long kitchen table that sits 14, gas stove, dishwasher, refrigerator/freezer, kettle, cutlery, dishes, and glasses and everything needed for cooking.
Large sitting room with wood burner with doors opening to the garden. Desk for work station.
