We had a great weekend at Bridget’s! Everything was perfect! The house was warm and beautifully decorated. We appreciated the flexibility and availability of the host. I would love to come back in spring to also discover the beautiful garden!
Thank you very much!

Definitively one of the best place we visited in years ! The Castle, the house the decoration are amazingly beautiful, better than the pictures. The garden is wonderful, very big (10min walk tour in differents areas). There is a beautiful pool (up to 1.80 meter deep). The place is calm, it is possible to make acceptable noise, we were a group of 14, and we absolutely loved our stay. Bridget is always reachable and very nice host ! I strongly recommend this place, and would come back with pleasure !

11 out of 10 stars. This is a lovely well designed property with multiple gardens, meandering trails, and a refreshing pool with stone walls. There are numerous cute towns and markets in the surrounding countryside. The hosts were a delight.

Peaceful place with unbelievable charm. Enchanting garden and park with many flowers everywhere. In the rooms also upon arrival! Authentic house with delicate and inspired decor. Charming hosts. 4 real double bed rooms and 4 extra beds in a through room. Absolutely quiet.

SERENE, CALMING, BEAUTIFULLY AGED - This property has reserved all the charm that centuries of use has given it while having just the right amount of modern conveniences to make our stay comfortable. We had the best nights sleep and memorable days. Whether we spent our time at the castle or went to a local attraction, nothing disappointed.

RUSTIC BUT WITH MODERN AMENITIES IN A BEAUTIFUL SETTING - What an awesome stay. The house and grounds are lovely. The house is rustic, but it is also from the 11th century. Rooms are spacious and the kitchen is cozy. We loved the dining room, which has a really long table and can accommodate 12 or more people. The owner Bridget was so easy to work with and Kate who helps manage the property was wonderful. Our family would absolutely choose to stay at the chateau again if the opportunity arose.

BEAUTIFUL CHATEAU IN IMMACULATE GARDENS - This is an amazing place to stay with extended family and friends. There is loads of space in the grounds (yes really!) for the kids to explore, bounce on the trampoline, swim or play in the sandpit.

The bedrooms are charming and rustic with huge beams (mind your head) this is the ideal place for a large group, it is a labyrinth, you really can get lost in it. There are 14 known bedrooms but others still undiscovered i think!

The pool area is beautifully maintained as are the gardens. There are not many places to go out, but when we are staying here we don’t want to. We just cook meals in the big country kitchen complete with Aga and ancient fireplace. This is a magical place and we hope to come back every year.

A WONDERFUL WEEK - We have just returned after a fabulous week in France. The chateau was lovely and it suited our family immensely, 10 adults 6 children.. We all loved the feel of the place and the freedom that the house and grounds gave us. The children were able to wander and play in and out of the house with great freedom. The ping pong table, pool and sand pit were particularly enjoyed. But saying that so was the trampoline and the swings. We had many a ping pong tournament as well as boules in the drive in the evening, usually played after some G&Ts.

The weather was very good and so all meals were taken outside , many until late at night. One child had a birthday party which included all playing egg and spoon and other such games. Wonderful memories.
The chateau is very well equipped, the bed linen is of a good quality, good facilities such as dishwasher , washing machine and so on.

It was a magical week staying at La Rongere. I have already recommended this place to friends!

AN ABSOLUTE DELIGHT - We had a fantastic week with friends in this large and very comfortable chateau. The children loved the gardens, pool, and well-kept grounds. We adored the ease and convenience of the place. Well-equipped kitchens and attentive housekeeping on request. Fabulous. Recommended!

BLISS FOR ALL AGES - La Rongere is the most wonderful, beautiful, perfect place for a family holiday.
If you are looking for peace, exceptional beauty, perfect safety for young children with endless outdoor activities and all in a blissful fairy tale-like and romantic setting then this is for you!
The pool is perfect (no chlorine to sting eyes) and easily locked to keep small children out. Lots of activities.
The grounds are extensive and lend themselves to many games of hide-and-seek, looking for bats, glow-worms at night, listening to the owls and picking the fruit, veg, and lots of herbs in the garden.
The kitchen is very well equipped and the washroom a treat to use: even ironing is fun to do overlooking the stunning trees.
I have booked for the 4th year running as all the young cousins, their parents and I just love it.

LA RONGERE IS AMAZING - We are staying at La Rongere with family and friends and are blown away by the loviliness of the place.
The photos simply do not do it justice.
The shower in the tower is one of the best I’ve ever had.
I cannot recommend staying here highly enough.

UNIQUE COUNTRY ESTATE - The cottage at La Rongere is a great place to stay to get away from it all and enjoy a small slice of living in the French countryside.
It is decorated in a “Shabby chic” elegant French Provincial style, set in magnificent grounds with formal gardens and surrounding private forest, with the ancient chateau as a backdrop. It is really quite charming. 5 Stars.
